INFORMATION
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
We're so excited to have you as a guest at our 9th annual Big Pineapple Music Festival! We thank our amazing pineys for your support over the past years. Here’s a couple of our hot tips below….
IDENTIFICATION
18+ Event - You must present your ID on entry to the festival to validate age (acceptable forms of identification are DRIVERS LICENCE, PASSPORT, AUSTRALIA POST KEYPASS and PROOF OF AGE CARD. This is in accordance with liquor licensing laws).
TICKETING
Please contact Oztix online for all ticketing inquiries, name changes and purchases. Names on tickets must match the ID of each individual attending. Companion tickets can be arranged for those holding a valid Companion Card and have already purchased a Big Pineapple Festival ticket, fill out the contact form on our contact page or email hello@bigpineapplefestival.com. The carer will be issued with a complimentary ticket equivalent to the ticket(s) purchased, the correct documentation must be provided and all Companion requests must be made PRIOR to the event VENUE
NO PASSING OUT
This is a no pass out 18+ event. Meaning that you will not be able to return to festival once you leave without a valid reason. Security guards will assess whether your reason is valid on the day of the festival.
CAMPING
We offer limited camping at the festival site. Please see the CAMPING page for more info.
TRANSPORT AND PARKING
THERE IS NO PARKING AT THE FESTIVAL. Please see the TRANSPORT page for detailed information. To make it simple the 2 best options to get to and from the festival are:
Option 1 CHARTER BUS service
Option 2 PARK AND RIDE service.
1. CHARTER BUS SERVICE will take you to and from designated locations around the Sunshine Coast. (IT'S A RETURN SERVICE). MAKE SURE YOU BOOK ONE OF THESE BUSES SO WE CAN ALLOCATE THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF BUSES FOR EACH LOCATION! Please organise your journey to and from these designated areas. You need to book this bus service if you wish to return home on one at the end of the festival, even if you arrived in a different way.
2. PARK AND RIDE SERVICE if you want to drive close to the festival you can park and catch a shuttle to the festival site. This service will run throughout the day/night. Parking charges may apply. You can catch a taxi to and from the event but we don’t advise this as there is a limited number of taxis on the Sunshine Coast.
STAYING SAFE
Our night is not over until each of our pineys are home safely. We have a festival hotline that you can call during the festival or please reach out to one of the many amazing staff, security or police anytime. Also our trusted friends at Red Frogs are on board to help hydrate you.
