Is the festival an 18 + event?
YES. The festival is an 18+ event. ID is required upon entry. Only persons over the age of 18 are permitted to enter the festival. Valid forms of ID are DRIVERS LICENCE, PASSPORT, AUSTRALIA POST KEYPASS and PROOF OF AGE CARD. You must be 18 years old on or before the day of the festival
What is the date and the time of the festival?
Saturday, May 22nd 2021 from 10.30am to 10.00pm
Where is the festival held?
The festival is at the Pineapple Fields, OPPOSITE The Big Pineapple Complex, on the Sunshine Coast, 76 Nambour Connection Road, Woombye, QLD.

1pm Friday 21st of May 2021
Can I pay with cash at the festival?
No. All patrons are asked to use our tap and go system at the bars and merchandise areas.
Do I have to wear a wristband?
Yes all patrons MUST wear a Wristband. You will receive your wristband on entry into the festival. No wristband – No entry.
Can I bring alcohol to the camp ground?
No. Patrons cannot bring alcohol into the campgrounds. There will be a licensed bar in the campgrounds from 5pm until 10pm on Friday the 21st of May. Remember it is a cashless bar using a tap and go system. Kick back and enjoy the entertainment provided.
Can I drink alcohol at the festival?
Yes. There are several licensed bars within the festival venue. Bars will be cashless this year, we have a tap and go system. Please bring your bank card as cash will not be accepted. Please ensure to bring along a valid and current form of photo ID (eg. Drivers license, passport, Australia Post keypass, and proof of age card). All alcoholic beverages must be consumed within the festival grounds. Bags will be inspected upon entry by security. No alcohol may be bought into the festival as it’s against liquor licensing laws. Anyone found trying to enter the festival with alcohol may be refused entry and the alcohol will be confiscated.
Can I park at The Big Pineapple?
No. There is only onsite parking for those displaying disability parking, bands, staff and those who are camping.
Can I drop or pick up someone at the festival?
No. You must do so from one of our park and ride locations.
Can I buy food at the festival?
Definitely! There will be a great variety of amazing food stalls available at the festival venue including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.
Can I bring food, drink or alcohol into the festival?
No food is to be brought into the festival. If you have allergies that require food to be brought in, please explain your situation to security at the front gates. Sealed bottled water may be brought into the festival, we have bottled water for sale and free water onsite for refills, so it's not really necessary! All bags will be searched on entry by security. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN ALCOHOL BE BROUGHT INTO THE FESTIVAL.
Is there an ATM at the festival?
Yes ATM machines are available within the festival grounds, however all bars and merchandise are tap and go system. Food stall are the only place that you are able to use cash.
What should I bring?

ID ID ID ID ID !!! You must present your ID on entry to the festival to validate age (acceptable forms of identification are DRIVERS LICENCE, PASSPORT, AUSTRALIA POST KEYPASS and PROOF OF AGE CARD. This is in accordance with liquor licensing laws).

Your bank card for the tap and go transactions in the Merchandise and Bar areas.

A copy of all festival tickets. (Including Charter Bus and Camping Tickets). This can be digital.

If you have any medication please ensure it is clearly labelled with prescription details.

Sun protection including hat and sunscreen.

Warm clothing, it gets chilly at night. Don't forget their is no cloak room so you have to carry your gear.

If it looks like rain bring along wet weather gear (NO UMBRELLAS)

You can bring a picnic rug, small collapsible camping chair or inflatables however these must not be within 100m of any stage.

What should I leave at home?
Any bags or backpacks over 40x40cm, pets, large director chairs, umbrellas, selfie sticks, esky, glass, alcohol, drugs, weapons (including pocket knives), fireworks and anything flammable or deemed dangerous. Patrons found with these items will have them confiscated on entry. Please refer to the "Banned items list".
Can I bring my camera?
Yes you can bring a small still camera or digital camera. Professional cameras or recording devices are not allowed. Phone cameras are okay.
why would i be refused entry?
No ID = No entry. If you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol you will be refused entry. For the safety of all patrons management has the right to refuse entry where we see fit. This includes on the buses. There will be high fencing patrolled by security guards surrounding the festival, so forget about trying to sneak in.
Is there anything I need to know about the festival?
You will need to download the QR Covid Tracing app prior to the festival.
You will be required to check-in using the QR code before entering the festival. This is mandatory as per Queensland Health guidelines. The QR code will be available at bus locations, camping and festival entry.
All bags will be searched by security on arrival. Due to recent events and all patron safety no bag larger than 40x40cm will be allowed into the festival.
If you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol you will be refused entry. For the safety of all patrons management has the right to refuse entry where we see fit. There will be high fencing patrolled by security guards surrounding the festival, so forget about trying to sneak in.
Illegal trespassers will be dealt with by the police service. Stage diving, crowd surfing and circle pits are not permitted. Patrons and people moshing risk being ejected from the festival.
Will first-aid be available?
Yes there will be two first aid areas at the festival. Our trusted friends, RED FROGS will also be there to re hydrate you if you need help
Can I buy merchandise at the festival?
Yes definitely! There will be a stall at the festival where you can purchase Big Pineapple Music Festival merchandise and artist merchandise. There will also be a merchandise stand in the camp grounds on Friday night. Both merch areas are cashless and you need to use our tap n go system.
Will there be a cloakroom available?
No, sorry there will be no cloak room available this year.
Are pass-out permitted?
NO pass-outs. For the safety of all patrons, there are strictly NO pass-outs at The Big Pineapple Music Festival. This means once you leave the festival, your wristband will be removed and you will be unable to gain entry back into the festival. If you believe that you have a legitimate reason to leave the festival, please email us to discuss your circumstances. We thank you for your understanding and hope to make this the best day for you, so you won't want to leave!
can i dress up?
We love love love to see you all dress up. We hold our annual BEST DRESSED AT THE FEST competition and would love to see you get your gear on. Register at the Best Dressed at the Fest Tent when you arrive at the festival.
